Become a triathlete in 60 minutes. One hour, then BAM, you're a triathlete. It will happen so fast you won't know what hit you. The Cape Fear Indoor Triathlon is a fun challenge that appeals to everyone - from seasoned triathletes to first-timers - because you set your own pace. And all the action takes place in one convenient, weatherproof location - Coastal Fitness Center in Hampstead, NC
Here's how this one-hour race against the clock breaks down:
10-minute swim or water walking in the lap pool
30-minute bike ride in the Cycle Studio
20-minute run or walk on the treadmill
Performance is measured by the self-reported distance covered in each of the three legs. The more distance you cover, the higher your score. Transition times are fixed at 10 minutes between the swim and bike and 5 minutes between bike and run. This is to ensure safe and courteous movement through the club.
You will start in waves of 4 people every 15 minutes. Race with your friends, family or colleagues - time to catch up socially and physically! You will pick your wave start time during registration.
All in-person participants will receive a Cape Fear Indoor Tri participant T-shirt, swim cap, and finishers medal. To participate, you must be 12 years of age or older. All virtual participants will receive a t-shirt in the mail after the event.
